In recent years, with the development of information technology, the requirements for industrial intelligence and intelligent construction machinery have also been increasing, leading to a growing demand for specialized controllers for various types of construction machinery hosts. However, the mainstream construction machinery controller hardware configurations currently on the market are generally low, and the computing power cannot meet the needs of intelligent control; the capacity of the main chips is too small to save large amounts of operational data for long periods of time, and the software part does not have the ability to analyze data; at the same time, there is a lack of support for peripheral devices, with fewer interface functions and limited functionality for expandable applications.
The market's demand for intelligent control of construction machinery mainly reflects the need for faster computing power, larger storage capacity, more interfaces, and stronger motion control capabilities. Firstly, the intelligent control functions of construction machinery require a large amount of real-time computing, which requires a high-speed and powerful MPU for processing. Secondly, intelligent machinery needs to record detailed work process data and has high requirements for the duration of storage, thus requiring controllers to have large storage capacity and basic data management capabilities. Moreover, intelligent machinery also needs to have multi-axis combined motion control capabilities.
In response to customer needs, MYIR has provided a solution based on the MYC-Y6ULX-V2 SOM for mechanical intelligent controller applications. The MYC-Y6ULX-V2 uses NXP's i MX 6UL series MPU, featuring a single Arm Cortex-A7 core, with a running speed of up to 800 MHz; it comes standard with 512MB DDR3 and 4GB eMMC, providing ample storage space. It supports parallel LCD display with a resolution of up to WXGA (1366x768), meeting the requirements for high computing speed, large storage capacity, and ease of operation in construction machinery controllers. Additionally, the MYC-Y6ULX-V2 SOM provides a rich set of interfaces including 2 CAN buses, 8 serial ports, 8 ADCs, and 4 I2C interfaces, which can be designed into solutions based on customer requirements, efficiently empowering the intelligent application of mechanical controllers.
The MYC-Y6ULX-V2 SOM provides driver support for Linux 5.4 kernel version operating system, with comprehensive software development and extensive aging, temperature, and power on/off tests, ensuring stable performance after testing. The SOM is compact in size, measuring only 37mm x 39mm, and is mounted on the base board with stamp hole package, making it stable and unlikely to loosen. It can adapt to the harsh industrial environment requirements of construction machinery products. The SOM implements USB OTG and TF card multiple burning methods, reserves a 140-pin external expansion interface, which includes rich peripheral resources, facilitating flexibly development and applications.
Features of MYC-Y6ULX-V2 Module
2 x 100Mbps Ethernet: supports SSH, TCP/IP, and IEEE 1588 protocol.
Serial port: it provides up to 8 serial ports, which can be connected to MCU, Bluetooth chip and other devices. It can also be extended to RS232 or RS485 through chips for long-distance transmission.
I2C: 4-way I2C bus can be extended, maximum speed up to 400 Kbps, I2C uses two lines for data communication between the master controller and the slave machine; it can also be connected to capacitive touch screen, sound card chip and camera module.
CAN: 2-way CAN bus can be extended and support CAN 2.0B.
SPI: 4-way SPI can be extended, and the data rate is up to 52 Mbit/s. It can be configured to support master/slave mode, and one bus can connect multiple slave devices.
ADC: 8-channel ADC and 12-bit universal analog-to-digital converter are provided. The ADC is used inside the sensor to process the original analog signal and output the digital signal to the user.
PWM: 8-channel PWM are provided, pulse width modulator can be used for display brightness adjustment and motor speed regulation.
I2S: 3-channel I2S are provided, which can be connected to the sound card chip to realize sound input and output.
GPIO: up to 97 channels of GPIO are provided, which can be used freely by customers.
