Shenzhen, China - September 4, 2026 - MYIR, a global provider of embedded System-on-Modules (SoMs) and solutions, today announced the launch of the MYC-JMX95X, a high-performance SMARC System-On-Module engineered for secure, AI-accelerated edge computing. Built around the NXP i.MX95 applications processor, the compact module brings together six Cortex-A55 application cores, real-time and safety cores, a 2 TOPS NPU, and an EdgeLock secure enclave to serve the rigorous demands of industrial control, in-vehicle infotainment, and smart-edge IoT platforms.

Measuring just 82 mm x 50 mm, the MYC-JMX95X is powered by the NXP i.MX95 (MIMX9596XVTXNAC) processor, which combines 6x Arm Cortex-A55 cores running up to 1.8 GHz for application processing, a Cortex-M7 for real-time control, and a Cortex-M33 for secure system management, along with a 2 TOPS eIQ Neutron NPU for AI inference acceleration. The Cortex-M33 can additionally be configured as a safety island, making the i.MX95 the first i.MX family device to support hardware-enforced functional safety. This heterogeneous architecture enables precise, low-latency control alongside rich edge-AI workloads, making the module ideal for industrial control, in-vehicle infotainment, medical devices, and smart-edge IoT platforms.
Despite its powerful capabilities, the MYC-JMX95X maintains a compact footprint, and is equipped with a robust hardware configuration designed for industrial-grade environments:

The MYD-JMX95X development board combines the MYC-JMX95X SOM with a carrier board via the 314-pin SMARC connector, delivering extensive evaluation interfaces: dual Gigabit Ethernet, onboard Wi-Fi 6/BT 5.4, 4G/5G cellular support via a mini PCIe socket with dual Micro SIM, HDMI/MIPI-DSI display, dual LVDS, MIPI-CSI camera, audio I/O, M.2-2280 PCIe for NVMe SSD, Micro SD, multiple USB ports (2x USB 3.0 Host, 2x USB 2.0 Host, 1x USB 2.0 OTG), and dual CAN FD with RS485 & RS232 shared on a single Phoenix connector. The MYC-JMX95X System-On-Module is fully compatible with Linux and ships with a complete software package, including U-Boot 2025.04, a customized Linux kernel based on the official 6.12.49 version, and the myir-image-full Yocto image with a pre-built GUI. The source code for the kernel and various peripheral drivers is included to help clients speed up their projects:
